Short on time but want a real Kenyan safari? This exciting 4-day escape from Mombasa delivers Tsavo’s legendary red elephants, huge wildlife concentrations and a rare night game drive in the private 10,000-acre Ngutuni Sanctuary. Spot lions, leopards, hyenas, bush babies and more after dark, enjoy full-day game drives in Kenya’s largest national park, sundowners at the waterhole and comfortable lodge accommodation. Perfect as a standalone mini-safari or beach add-on. Private 4×4 vehicle, expert guide and all park fees included.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Mombasa – North Coast Hotel

Arrive at Moi International Airport (Mombasa). You will be met, greeted and transferred to your beach hotel on the North Coast. The remainder of the day is free to relax by the pool or on the beach. Dinner and overnight at Severin Sea Lodge (Standard Room) or similar. (Meal plan: N/A or as per your beach hotel booking)

Day 2: Mombasa – Tsavo East & Ngutuni Sanctuary (Night Game Drive)

After breakfast, depart your hotel and drive to Ngutuni Sanctuary (approx. 2.5–3 hours), a 10,000-acre private game sanctuary bordering Tsavo East National Park on three sides. Check in and enjoy lunch at the lodge overlooking a waterhole. Afternoon game drive inside Ngutuni Sanctuary followed by a rare night game drive (using spotlights) – an excellent chance to spot nocturnal animals such as bush babies, aardvark, porcupine, hyenas, lions, leopards and many more. Dinner and overnight at Ngutuni Lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Full Day Tsavo East National Park

Early breakfast, then depart for a full-day game drive inside Tsavo East National Park – Kenya’s largest national park. Known for its iconic red-dust elephants, vast open savannah, large buffalo herds, lions, cheetahs and abundant birdlife. Game drives with your private driver-guide; picnic lunch served at a scenic viewpoint. Late afternoon return to the lodge for sundowner drinks overlooking the waterhole as animals come to drink. Dinner and overnight at Ngutuni Lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Tsavo East – Return to Mombasa or Diani Beach

Enjoy an early morning game drive around the sanctuary with coffee/tea served in the bush. After a late breakfast, check out and depart southward toward the coast. Arrive at your Mombasa or Diani Beach hotel in the early afternoon. Optional wide range of beach hotel extensions available on request. (Meal plan: B,L).
